Saturday 27th.September 2008
20.30hrs.
This Restaurant/Wine Bar is situated in the main high street of the pretty village of Bishops Waltham.
Upon arrival the four of us were greeted and shown to our table. The menu and Wine list was presented promptly by our waitress, with a smile. Our wine was served very professionally and our food order taken.
For starters we all plumped for the Sautee Wild Mushrooms ~ thyme roasted garlic, toasted brioche which was most enjoyable. A pleasent amount of time was appreciated prior to our main courses being served.Three of us chose the 10oz rump steaks (1 peppercorn and 2 roquefort sauces),and the other selected
Rump of Lamb ~ champ potato, roasted vine tomatoes, confit red onions.
The quality of the food could not be faulted except for the roquefort sauce which was rather thin and bland.
Overall a wonderfull evening, very attentive staff and we will certainly be visiting again.

Table for 4 booked.....25th, April 2009..20.30hrs.
Booking seems essential as upon our arrival the restaurant was very busy.
We were shown to our table and left with menus. It was about 20 minutes before a waitress eventually arrived to take our food order prior to any offer of drinks. When the selected bottle of wine appeared it was placed on our table minus its cork. Aside from the faux pas, the decor and food were typically Turkish and of very good quality. The owner Hasan Huseyin Yalvac, proved to be very friendly and attentive.Overall we had a very pleasant evening and hope to return.

It was by sheer chance that my wife and I stumbled upon this delightful restaurant.
We had just returned from a few days away in Europe, landed at Luton Airport and didn't fancy the trip back home to the New Forest late friday afternoon.
We decided to book an overnight stay in the Old Town of Hemel Hempstead, staying at an establishment in the Old High Street.
As avid curry eaters we patrolled the area and found 3 curry restaurants all within 100yards of the High Street.
It was pot luck we chose and booked 'The Mogul' for a 20.30hr sitdown.
We were very impressed at the friendliness and courtesy of all the staff.
All the dishes we ordered were beyond expectation in taste and presentation, even if the dish is not on their menu they are more than happy to oblige. (My favourite....Chicken and prawn Madras!). Several times during the evening the staff came to check if all was OK. When the time came to pay the bill, the owner of the restaurant asked us if we would accept a complimentary liquer of our choice and to end the night of brilliance a fresh rose was presented to my wife.
What a shame this restaurant is 92 miles from home!..but we will be back!!
Telephone bookings advisable!!
